Water Treasures of Dobbiaco

Dobbiaco has various Water Treasures. The idea resulted from the abundance of precious water springing up in the immediate regions of Dobbiaco such as the source of the River Drau, one of the largest Rivers in Europe. Dobbiaco forms part of the great water divide between the Danube and the Adige (Etsch) Rivers. It is the place where drinking water is bled from two different but highly valued sources originating deep within the Lime Rocks of the Dolomites and from the ferriferous Primary Rocks of the Central Alps which help to stem the creation of two natural and notable lakes such as Lake Dobbiaco and Lake Lago di Landro/Dürrensee.
