A lot of fun during family holidays in Dobbiaco
Dobbiaco has lots to offer for children:
The children's playground in the "Grieswaldele" forest with
swings, slides, sand castles,...
... the Nature Park House with a Forest Wonder World, Celtic tree horoscope, and a tree village.
... and of course "kids factory Daksy" in the Dobbiaco Nature Park House: in July and August weekly theme afternoons are organised for children from 6 to 12 years of age. The programme can be obtained in the Nature Park House or in the event calendar of the Dobbiaco Tourism Association.
The coloured children's summer in Dobbiaco
Every summer, the Dobbiaco Tourism Association organises a children's programme in cooperation with the municipality. Children are looked after for half the day or the full day, and they can play together with other children.
Following you will find some examples from the varied programme:
Zoo Gustav Mahler
many alpine animals live in the zoo in Carbonin Vecchia and are as close as never before: deer, lynx and moufflon, wild boars, racoons, owls, snow owls, geese, and many others.
Nature adventure path
On this educational path with 11 stations around the Dobbiaco Lake you get to know many interesting things about the nature resort. At some stations you can show off your practical skills, at station 9 you will need your jumping power.
Lachwiesen Hut
This hut is located above Dobbiaco, and is an ideal destination for the whole family. The hut can easily be reached by car. In front of the hut children have plenty of space to play, and the small animal park will be the highlight.
Reindeer at the Croda Rossa
4 Finnish reindeer have found their new home at the Prati di Croda Rossa meadows in Sesto. All they are waiting for is for someone to give them a stroke.
Boat tours
An exciting boat tour on the Dobbiaco Lake with a rowing boat or a pedal boat - a great experience for old and young.
Summer adventure on a mountain-farm
Spend an unforgettable afternoon on this special visitation of the farm „Nigglerhof“: you assist active on the field works and you see inside the world of the bees. It will be diverting to feed the deers and finally there waits a traditional tyrolean break for you!

Comprehensive children's programme in Alta Pusteria
In the Acquafun adventure pool in San Candido children can enjoy themselves in the children's pool or on the gigantic water slide. Integrated in the bathing area you'll find a counter-current canal, a Jacuzzi and a waterfall.
The high wire adventure park in Dobbiaco offers 6 courses with different levels of difficulty and the natural bathing lake in Dobbiaco offers plenty of fun for families. The 4 tennis courts provide a welcome variation for the whole family. And at the playground you can let your soul tangle in the shade and watch your children playing.
