Sunrise excursion to the Helm
Do you want to experience a unique nature adventure? Go with us – to the sunrise excursion at an altitude of 2.434 meters above sea level! … The morning sun paints the sky and immerses the summits of the Sesto Dolomites into an incredible reddish glimmer!
Between July and September the cable cars Sextner Dolomiten AG – Alta Pusteria organize sunrise excursions to the Helm / Monte Elmo. You can start with the cable car Helm from Sexten / Sesto and you arrive on 2.000 meters of altitude with it. Afterwards you hike in about one hour to the Helm Peak (2,434 m). While having breakfast with tea and brioche near a warm camp fire you will experience the sunrise from high up in the mountains.

Stoneman
… a mountain bike adventure in the Dolomites of Sexten Sesto… 120 km, 4.560 meters difference in altitude in one day, in two days or in three days! The Stoneman-Trail which was brought to life by the professional cyclist Roland Stauder, the route in the Dolomites was signposted as “Steinmännchen” or “Stanemandlan” as referred to in South Tyrolean dialect. It does not deal with a race here, but rather to accomplish a challenge with passion and to fulfil a dream.

Bellum Aquilarum - open air museum of the Great War
The history of the First World War on the Rotwand / Croda Rossa is a story of incredible feats and events: the austro-hungarian and italian soldiers on both sides braved the altitude, the cold, the avalanches and the solitude. Roads, cableways, storage depots, emplacements, communication trenches and tunnels were constructed. The Bellum Aquilarum Project is aimed at saving this testimony, which has remained. Visitors can buy an information brochure in the Tourist Office in Sexten / Sesto or at the valley-station of the cable car Rotwand / Croda Rossa. During the summer visitors can participate at a guided visitation (in german or italian language).
How you can arrive to the open air museum: from the mountain-station of the cable car Rotwand / Croda Rossa in Sexten-Moos / Sesto-Moso you arrive by foot in 45 minutes on the way number 100 to the malga Anderter Alm, where the museum is located.
