Floodlit night-time skiing and tobogganing on the Monte Baranci/Haunold mountain
Night-time pleasures are given a whole new meaning in the 2011/2012 skiing season. Twice per week between 7 pm and 10 pm, the night owls among you can curve your way down the slopes into the magical valley realm of the petrified giant Baranci/Haunold, turning night into day.
What a feeling, to conquer floodlit slopes! The 4-seater chairlift from San Candido/Innichen will get you to the highest point at 1500 m in next to no time. In the new Giant Baranci refuge next to the chairlift station, you can recharge your batteries as you try typical local dishes, or warm up over a hot drink.
And then it’s straight back down the slopes. It is no less of a treat for tobogganing fans. New floodlights have been installed along the 3 km long toboggan run.

Panorama Restaurant on the Monte Elmo/Helm mountain completely refurbished
The new jewel in the crown of the most beautiful viewing point on Monte Elmo: the panorama restaurant on Monte Elmo is steeped in tradition and has been rebuilt in the down-to-earth style typical of South Tyrolean architecture.
The restaurant with table service is very inviting, with its relaxed atmosphere, open fireplaces, comfortable rooms and lounges, and spacious bar area. The self-service area, where the chefs prepare delicious, fresh meals “al minuto”, has been completely refurbished.
And the children’s “Restaurant Helmi” next door offers far more than just delicious spaghetti - it is also possible to take a nap there, before returning to the pistes full of new energy.
