Library & Internetpoint Claus Gatterer

The library features an internet point. The name derives from Claus Gatterer, a journalist born in Sesto. The library was inaugurated in 1997.

Guests can borrow books and magazines free of charge.

Claus Gatterer was born in 1924 and studied philosophy and history at Padua University. He worked as editor of the newspapers "Tiroler Nachrichten" and "Salzburger Nachrichten" in Austria. He was twice awarded the "Dr.-Karl-Renner-Prize" and the "Theodor-Körner-Prize". Furthermore, he was given many other prices for promoting the reconciliation of the different ethnic groups. Gatterer died in 1984 in Vienna.
