Dobbiaco Natural Bathing Lake
You can relax and swim amidst green fields with a unique view of the mountains of the Val di Landro Valley at the natural bathing lake in Dobbiaco. Enjoy the wet with your children or simply read a book in the relaxing natural setting with a unique view of the mountain world, or regain strength after a demanding hiking tour in the Dolomites-"UNESCO World Natural Heritage".
The bathing lake is divided into an area for swimmers and an area for non-swimmers. The swimmers' area is 37 metres long and 16 metres wide with a maximum depth of 2 metres. The non-swimmers' area is designed as a children's pool with a depth of 0.60 metres to 1.35 metres.
But what is a natural bathing lake? The lake is filled with pure drinking water. The water is cleaned in a natural way in two water processing areas by means of reposition plants. Hence, there is no need for chlorine as the water cleans itself.
In order to complete the offer, the entire service building was also renovated. Changing rooms, toilets, a bar, a restaurant/pizzeria, and a spacious sun terrace are available. Since this is a sports infrastructure, all major sports events will of course be shown on a gigantic screen. Soccer fans can enjoy themselves on a small pitch with artificial grass.
Not far from the bathing lake you'll also find the "Grieswaldele" recreational area for relaxing, playing, enjoying great adventures and movement. There is a spacious playground with swings, sand pits and much more play equipment for families with children. And a fitness course is available too.
